Gilly's Notes on Life

In Gilly’s Notes on Life, One Clumsy Step at a Time, Gilly, an introverted and endearing illustrator, reflects on the small, often messy moments that make up a life. Through a series of humorous, heartfelt notes, Gilly takes readers along on her journey of self-discovery, learning to embrace her imperfections and find beauty in the ordinary.

From spilling tea on her favorite sketchbook to taking a spontaneous walk and stumbling upon hidden gems, Gilly’s story is filled with moments that are as clumsy as they are meaningful. She explores the art of accepting her flaws, allowing herself to be vulnerable, and understanding that growth isn’t always a straight line—it’s more like a series of small, unexpected steps.

Whether it’s navigating the fear of judgment, celebrating the joy of simple victories, or learning to appreciate the quiet moments of solitude, Notes on Life, One Clumsy Step at a Time is a warm, uplifting reminder that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Through Gilly’s eyes, we learn that the best parts of life are often found in the messiest, most unplanned moments— one clumsy step at a time.
